X-Press Legal Services Achieves Record £7.8 Million Turnover
"Business Is Booming" Says Dave Lister - Director of the Warrington-based Property Search Specialists
Although the company was confident of an exemplary financial performance this year, directors of the 15 employee company, which also has 32 successful franchises across the UK, were stunned to see their end–of- year figures had risen by a staggering £1.3 million.
“Business really is booming,” said director and joint founder Dave Lister, speaking from his company’s ultra-modern HQ at the Olympic Park business centre at Birchwood. “We enjoyed 60 per cent growth in the first three months of the year and it looks like our performance in July will break all records.
“The economy really seems to be picking up and the housing market is getting busier all the time which should have a positive impact on our performance in September, October and November which also tend to be our busiest months.”
However Dave and his Managing Director wife Lynne Lister accept that X-Press Legal’s positive financial performance has also been assisted by their policy of building awareness of the company and its services.
“We’ve launched a Public Relations campaign to ensure our brand is recognised across the country and we have also engaged in a Social Media programme to keep our name out there,” explained Dave. “However, we also run a Continual Professional Development programme to ensure our staff and our franchisees are always ahead of the game – thus giving our clients a first class service.
“We are proud of what we have achieved and we are proud of the level of service we can offer to our clients. We like to think that’s why we keep our clients and why our business continues to grow.”
One of the by-products of X-Press Legal’s success is Law Plain and Simple, a free website which uses plain language to give visitors a better grasp of the law, explain what it means to them and provide access to legal expertise.
“The website was our way of giving something back to the public and it seems the site is valued by them, because visitor numbers are soaring,” added Dave. “Furthermore, the site also serves to introduce members the legal profession to X-Press Legal which can only be good for business.”
