The National Healthcare Reform Conference is part of the Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress, www.EmployerHealthcareCongress.com, which is made up of 6+ other conference tracks dedicated towards employers and the benefits and healthcare they offer their employees: Corporate Wellness, Self-Funding, Global Benefits, Health Insurance Exchange, Voluntary Benefits, Corporate Fitness & Nutrition and more.

As senior director for labor and workforce policy for the National Restaurant Association, Neblett works on a portfolio of labor and workforce issues including health care, immigration, ADA, education, and other labor issues. She works with the Association’s Board of Director’s Jobs & Careers Committee on these policy issues.

Since passage of the 2010 health care law, Neblett has been the point person for the Association on the implementation of the law and how it will impact the restaurant and foodservice industry. She advocates for the industry before Congress and the Administration, and also travels the country educating restaurateurs about the details of the law and regulations. In her tenure with the organization she has held several positions in the Government Relations Department, lobbying policy issues such as tax, interchange, profitability, food safety, travel, and energy on behalf of the industry.

Before joining the Association, Neblett served as associate director of legislative affairs with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, where she handled a range of issues related to international trade and taxes. Neblett also served as the staff director for NCBA’s tax policymaking committee, serving as a liaison to the administration, members of Congress, NCBA membership organizations, and domestic and international agricultural and business groups. Prior to this position, Neblett held several positions with NCBA.

Neblett is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband.

Michelle will be presenting with Edward Lenz and Katherine Lugar on the topic of Healthcare Reform’s Effect on the Staffing, Hotel & Lodging and Retail Industry. This session will cover how delays in the employer mandate gave everyone some time to consider the best strategy available to them, this does not mean you have time to sit back and relax especially if you are an employer in the staffing hotel & lodging or restaurant industry. Employers in these industries face the greatest cost increases when provisions of the healthcare reform law imposing financial penalties on employers that do not offer qualified coverage go into effect in 2015.
Michelle joins over 100 different educational sessions, workshops, forums and summits. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear her speak! Register for the conference today!
