Radiance Solar (www.radiancesolar.com), a leading Southeastern solar company, announced the formal launch of Radiance O&M Services with the hire of industry veteran Jordan Shechter as Director of Operations & Maintenance.

The Southeast solar market will experience significant and rapid growth with more than 1 Giga-Watt (1 billion Watts) of solar power plants due to come online over the next 2-3 years.  These solar plants will require a trained, technically proficient workforce to maintain and operate these solar facilities, which will provide power to the electrical grid throughout the Southeast.

With more than 70 mega-Watts currently under management, Radiance O&M Services provides solar asset services for utility and commercial solar plants, including data monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, and site management.  Shechter joins the Radiance team after working with Enfinity America and SunPower Corporation in asset management and maintenance management capacities.

“I am very excited to join forces with the Radiance Solar team, who are clearly dedicated to deploying safe and reliable solar energy on a large scale in this region,” said Shechter. “Having built dedicated national O&M organizations at SunPower and Enfinity, I recognize in Radiance the knowledge and experience needed to build a top quality O&M business in the rapidly growing Southeast solar market.  Safety and uptime will be our focus as we build this business.”

“Jordan brings a breadth of O&M experience to a solar market that will grow by more than 1 Giga-Watt in the next three years,” said Jamie Porges, COO of Radiance Solar.  “Up-time and performance optimization drive ROI for solar plant owners.  This requires a dedicated local presence to maximize plant revenue over the 30+ year life of these systems.”

“Radiance’s  clients come from all segments of the industry, from solar plant owners to national asset management firms and solar equipment suppliers,” added Shechter.  “Our monitoring and on-site O&M services can be tailored to systems of any configuration and are supported by well trained technical staff and robust maintenance management software.  We are able to provide value from preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and cleaning to full site operations, characterization, and reporting.”
