GATC Biotech Ltd. wins competitive bid for sequencing tender

CAMDEN, U.K. - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- GATC Biotech Ltd. – For the third time in a row, UK SBS (http://www.uksbs.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx) confirms GATC Biotech as one of the preferred suppliers for DNA sequencing services. GATC Biotech supply DNA sequencing to all seven of the Research Councils and their institutes under this framework agreement. The seven Research Councils include the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Medical Research Council (MRC), Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC).

Our relationship with the Research Councils began in 2006, when GATC Biotech stood out with its fully automated processes, fast & easy-to-use products, as well as the highest possible accuracy of sequencing data. With the introduction of the NightXpress service, which reduced the time from sample collection to result delivery down to 16 hours, and the upholding of the highest standards, the company secured the second tender in 2011. Now after seven successful years, this relationship is set to continue until at least 2016.
