Women Taught to Do Home Repairs

With proper tools and knowledge, women can do many home repairs
NEWINGTON, Conn. - Aug. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Joyce Boncal decided to teach women how to do home repairs. She said more women would make repairs if they new how easy they were to do. Women just lack the knowledge. Boncal said she has repaired her furnace, fixed her oven, and has even done lawnmower and car repairs and has repair videos on YouTube.

Boncal said when the rope broke on a double hung window in her house and she watched the handyman repair it in twenty minutes with only two tools, she decided she would educate herself about home repairs so she could do them herself. That was thirty years ago.

Her repair videos on YouTube have over 140,000 views. That prompted her to go on the lecture circuit to teach women how they too could do repairs. At a recent seminar, all the women present said they were likely to start doing repairs after hearing Boncal's seminar.

Boncal said, “Over the years, I have saved myself thousands of dollars because I have fixed so many things myself.”

In her seminar entitled, “Ladies, You Can Do Home Repairs,” she educates women about tools and where to get the knowledge to do repairs. Her promotional video on YouTube can be viewed at http://youtu.be/RjvU8cCg6wk. She can be reached at 860-922-7554.

Background – Joyce Boncal frequently writes technical articles for blogs and other online content. She holds a BA in Environmental Science and a MS in Public Policy.
