-- Created by the Stodd Fold Brewing Company, in Ripponden, Yorkshire (United Kingdom) , its capacity is over two thousand liters!
When you go to a pub for a beer you can usually choose between standard sizes: pints and half pints or bottles of 33, 50 and 75 cl. When you are very thirsty you can sometimes even choose an Oktoberfest-
style one-liter “Mass” but in comparison towhat the Stodd Fold Brewing Company has come up with recently even they seem tiny.
Last month, the brewery of Ripponden, in the UK, celebrated the passing of the Tour de France with a world record attempt. The Fleece Countryside Inn, a pub in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, was en route of the famous race - agreat occassion to serve the biggest beer in the world.
The huge glass holds a total of 3664 pints - one for each kilometer of the Tour - which corresponds to approximately 2080 liters. A new record, recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records. The former record was held by a glass created in California in 2009 with a capacity of “only” 1499 liters.
If you feel like a glass of beer now, we recommend you the Bormioli Rocco beer glasses. Smaller and sure easier to handle, they are ideal for a cold beer with friends.
