The Good Fight BJJ Tournament Makes Its Pittsburgh Debut
Westmoreland County based, Pennsylvania Combat Sports, had several members compete in the Good Fight submission only grappling tournament. With one student given the opportunity to compete in an invitational BJJ match.
With this debut event in the Steel City, the promoters of the Good Fight submission only BJJ and No-Gi tournament (based in Maryland), wanted to do something special.
The opportunity for a invitational match was presented to many of the surrounding BJJ schools around the greater Pittsburgh area. Representing Pennsylvania Combat Sports http://www.pacombatsports.com was Justin Kantorik, competing in the 205lb Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu invitational match.
True to form, Justin was able to secure the armbar submission in just under 3 minutes!
Along with him were several members of the Pa Combat Sports competition team, entering the BJJ and No-Gi kids and adult divisions.
As a whole, the team was able to secure 12 Gold, 10 Silver and 3 Bronze medals at the Good Fight Pittsburgh grappling tournament.
Most of the competitors who train at Pennsylvania Combat Sports, started with zero prior martial arts or even wrestling background. And while only about 10% of the entire school actually competes, those who do decide to try out for the PACS Competition Team will be learning from some of the best in the game.
Pennsylvania Combat Sports is located in Greensburg, Pa at 114 E. Otterman St. just 2 blocks from the westmoreland county courthouse and close to Seton Hill University and LECOM campus.
