Superhero Author, Russ Linton Hosts Contest
Cosplay and gaming contest with prizes to be awarded at fun-filled signing
"I can't think of a better place for the first signing of my debut novel, Crimson Son," says Linton. "Cosplay, board games and other epic geekery - what's not to love?"
Linton will be guest judge for the gaming store's Superhero themed weekend activities. Attendees to this free event are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero.
"Any cosplay is fair game, Anime, video game, we're not going to turn anyone away if they aren't in spandex. Besides, this is what Crimson Son is all about - normal people being amazing!" reports Linton.
Following the cosplay contest, participants can take part in a DC Deckbuilder game tournament for a chance to win more prizes. Signed copies of Crimson Son will be presented to the winners along with other prizes from the team at Roll2Play.
Crimson Son is Linton's first novel and has so far garnered rave reviews from critics and fans alike. It follows the adventures of the powerless son of a superhero who struggles with coming of age in his father's tremendous shadow.

The Cosplay contest will run from 5 pm to 6 pm and the DC Deckbuilder tournament from 6 pm to 9 pm. Owner Tiffany Franzoni feels that this next generation has lost a little on how to interact with each other without the barrier of technology. Roll2Play is her way to run a business that would make a positive difference in the community. Learning how to play, relax and socially engage in a way that will round out lives and celebrate who we are through gaming is something she prides herself on being able to contribute in my store. Her goal is to bring people together at Roll2Play, a clean and safe haven to be as nerdy as they want to be. Since opening, the store has become a vibrant hub of ever-changing activities, gaming events and product lines.
About Russ Linton
In the fourth grade, Russ Linton wrote down the vague goal of becoming a “writer and an artist” when he grew up. After a journey that led him from philosopher to graphic designer to stay at home parent and even a stint as an Investigative Specialist with the FBI, he finally got around to that “writing” part which he now pursues full time.
Russ crafts character-driven speculative fiction. His stories drip with blood, magic, and radioactive bugs. He writes for adults who are young at heart and youngsters who are old souls.
About Crimson Son
With no superpowers of his own save a multi-tool, a quick wit and a boatload of emotional trauma, Spencer seeks to uncover his mother's fate and confront his absentee superhero father. As he stumbles through a web of conspiracies and top secret facilities, he rallies a team of everyday people and cast-off Augments. But Spencer soon discovers that the Black Beetle isn't his only enemy, nor his worst.
