The industrial-grade, XGA LCD touchscreen panel is the largest in the TREK portfolio. TREK-306 is shock and vibration resistant, water- and dust- proof, and is designed to work in the extreme temperatures faced by vehicles in the field. TREK-306 is suited for big vehicles and public transportation with supporting applications such as split screen camera monitoring. The display intelligently connects to other TREK Box PCs on the vehicle via a single cable, and it has large, user-programmable keys on the front allowing it to be customized for specific uses. An SDK is supplied, and the display supports both Windows® and Linux allowing TREK-306 to fit into many pre-existing infrastructures. Rugged and Reliable Design for Unmatched Performance in Harsh Environments TREK-306 is especially suited for big vehicle applications. It can serve as a split screen multi-camera monitor in buses, or serve operators in mining and agricultural applications. Large, user-programmable keys allow TREK’s functionality to be tailored to individual applications and its rugged touchscreen offers users an intuitive interface. TREK-306 also features a light sensor to auto-dim the screen as vehicles move in and out of sunlit environments plus a pair of 2W speakers for program alerts, and a tough display surface which is EN62262-IK06- TREK-306 is rugged; from its hardened display and chassis design with I/O cover, to its ability to work in harsh environments prone to extreme temperatures. It withstands water and dust (IP55-compliant) Single Cable, Intelligent Pairing with all TREK Vehicle Box PCs TREK-306 can be paired with all existing and future TREK x86-based box computers such as the TREK-550, TREK-668, TREK-570, and TREK-674. The connection allows for pass-through control via a device attached to the USB port on the display. For example, a USB-stick can be attached to the display and used to “flash” a system image on a data-cable attached box computer. To make the hardware easier to access for programmers, Advantech has developed an MRM SDK for customers that includes demo utility, sample code, and documentation. The MRM SDK allows programmatic access to altimeter, brightness control and hotkey functions. TREK-306 is available now.
