Follow on Google News | Mini breastfeeding satire evokes thought , In honor of World Breastfeeding Week 2014Avid health activist and mother of four well breastfeed children launches her short satire video in honor of World Breastfeeding Week.
By: In the wilderness Emunah Y'srael a writer, artist and traveler has trod the globe and has encountered her own breastfeeding experience in Ethiopia and Israel. "In these countries it is still the norm you are expected to feed your child with your breast" she states. When Emunah returned to the states after her nine month stay over seas she was met with criticism and scorn for still breastfeeding her then almost two year old daughter. In an attempt to diffuse some of her emotions on the topic she created a satire video entitled "Bottomline Baby Business" from which this clip is taken. In the clip Emunah castes as Mrs. Iwana Shopalot is a mother/consumption expert brandishing an English accent. Mrs. Shopalot is the everyday mother who has bought into the idea of the need for excessive consumerism. This clip is meant to bring awareness to the absurdity of not wanting to give your baby the best. It aligns with the need to open a dialogue between mother and families to the true meaning and importance of the breast. https://www.youtube.com/ End
