Latest Aussie Online Art Gallery, StateoftheART, Offers Original Contemporary Fine Art Under $1,000

Aug. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- StateoftheART Gallery is an innovative online platform that focuses on promoting and selling original art by Australia’s most exciting Fine Arts students and graduates, as well as selected emerging artists.

"The prices are unintimidating enough to encourage a new generation of collectors, and the artists, who tend to be young and undiscovered, are better positioned to make a living from selling their work."

Savvy art enthusiasts can pick up an original artwork for as little as $130, with most works priced well under $1,000. But, Victoria emphasizes, this isn't eBay: the works exhibited all go through a critical vetting process. “We have a Curatorial Panel that reviews the submissions,” she explains.  “It is strictly our choice.  We will reject a work for listing on the basis that it might not be original, not emerging, not quality (in our modest opinion).” To make the cut, art works must “be by early career artists, interesting, provocative, and beautiful – though not necessarily always all at the same time.”

StateoftheART Gallery opened its virtual doors in early January and is currently inviting Fine Arts graduates and emerging artists in Australia to apply for representation.
