Dancers Pointe, a comprehensive, high quality, co-ed dance studio, officially opened its doors in April 2014 in Boonton. This brightly painted new state-of-the-art facility, is open six days a week, conveniently located by Boonton Lanes, just off Route 287, with ample free parking.

As Owner and Director of the new Dancers Pointe location, Katherine Jones’ mission is to empower a dancer's sense of self-expression, teach discipline, and develop his or her passion. Katherine, who discovered her love of the Art at age two, went on to get a B.A. in Dance. She is thrilled to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning her own studio, which enable both children and adults to build confidence, creativity, grace, self-esteem, teamwork, and technique.

At Dancers Pointe, students learn skills through a wide variety of dance, such as: ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, lyrical, acrobatics, pointe, hip hop, musical theater, and Zumba, with classes for children ages 18 months through Adult. Special discounts and classes offer something for everyone: you can get a sibling discount, or grab four or more friends to create your own class, with one month free for the class creator, or celebrate your child’s birthday with a party theme package. These include: 1 1⁄2 + hours of dance warm-up, games, instruction of a themed routine, optional themed craft, and a meal.

In an effort to make dance accessible to all children, Dancers Pointe also features a truly unique program for children with developmental and physical challenges, called Special Stars Creative Movement. Special Stars is customized to meet the specific needs and abilities of children as young as three, with a small 4:1 ratio. Private lessons are also available. Through music, props, curriculum, and choreography, these special needs students will improve their cognitive and motor skills, such as: balance, strength, coordination, and memory, not to mention socialization. These classes are all taught by the Director with the assistance of a Behavior Analyst, as needed.
