Back-to-School Kids Apparel Pop-Up Shop to Open in Aurora August 8 to 10, with a Style all its Own

Popular Fly Guy Brand to feature new, limited edition snapback hat along with its collection of fun and funky t-shirts — designed by kids, for kids

AURORA, Colo. - July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- In a little over two years, more than 5,000 pop-ups have appeared on the PopUp Republic pop-up directory, which enables pop-up merchants to promote their events and pop-up fans to easily find them. Sometimes pop-up shops are used to create brand recognition. Sometimes they are brick-and-mortar complements to on-line stores.  Often, they serve a social good.  And sometimes, they are even intended to make money for the proprietors!

But according to PopUp Republic CEO Jeremy Baras, it is rare when one pop-up encompasses all of these objectives. Such is the case with one new listing that appeared on the PopUp Republic directory this week — Flyest Back-to-School Pop-up Shop, a pop-up store that will appear in Aurora, Colorado on August 8th, and then, staying true to the pop-up tradition, quickly disappear on August 10th.

“Flyest is the quintessential pop-up shop, seizing upon all of the unique benefits conferred by pop-ups,” Baras said.  “The Flyest Back-to-School Pop-Up Shop introduces a line of kids clothes, predominantly t-shirts, that is designed by and for kids, to an expanding audience of Fly Guy fans.  The pop-up shop includes a limited edition snapback hat that is exclusive to the pop-up (only 250 available).  The clothing line has a distinct anti-bullying, kid-empowering message.  And the items are cool and trendy, which means the pop-up store is going to be a real destination as it remains open for its short duration.  And they have a neat drawstring backpack that is a free giveaway with every purchase!”

There is one more unusual aspect to this pop-up, and to the entire Fly Guy brand. Its two founders - Preston and Austin —who design the merchandise, handle the marketing strategy and sales calls, and oversee the entire operation are age 10 and 15, respectively.

“Many people consider pop-ups to be the purview of such retail stalwarts as Target and Nordstrom, or global celebrities such as Kanye West or Kate Spade,” Baras continued.  “But these guys are creating that sense of FOMO (“Fear of Missing Out”) that is so integral to the pop-up culture.  And their sense of style is already so trendsetting. It’s crazy to believe this is the brainchild of a 10- and 15-year old duo.”

The pop-up opens Friday, August 8th in Aurora at Southlands Mall, 6290 S. Main Street, Suite M-102, and continues through August 10th. Austin and Preston will host a launch party on Friday night, giving away Colorado Rockies tickets with purchases while the supply lasts.

For more information, visit the pop-up listing at http://www.popuprepublic.com/denver-pop-up-stores/7503-flyest-pop-up-shop.html, which includes all of the contact information for the business and its founders. And best of all, show your support for two fledgling titans of retail who  are MAKING IT HAPPEN by dropping by their pop-up shop and buying some cutting-edge apparel as the new school year approaches.

As Baras concluded, “You’ll be happy. Austin and Preston will be happy.  And most of all, your kids will be happy.  And when it comes to back-to-school sentiments, that’s the name of the game.”
