July 30, 2014 - PRLog -- HAMILTON, N.J. – Hamilton Honda recently served as a partner sponsor for Visitation Home’s golf outing at Mercer Oaks Golf Course. The annual event serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities.

"This year's golf outing was greatly successful thanks to the generosity of our community neighbors and Hamilton Honda," said Phyllis Fell, board member of Visitation Home. Fell also added that the event exceeded Visitation Home’s fundraising goals.

The Visitation Home is a shared living residence for people with developmental disabilities in Yardville, N. J. The organization provides a place where adults with developmental disabilities and their assistants can live together as a family, with additional support from neighborhood volunteers. The organization currently has three houses for residents.

The funds raised from the low-pressure, scramble-format golf outing not only support these three houses, but also the organization’s Day Program, which extends its services to other members of the community.

This summer, Hamilton Honda has sponsored three golf events to benefit good causes. In June, the dealership provided its support to Villa Victoria Academy’s annual golf event, which raised funds for the school’s academic program and scholarships. They also sponsored for the 27th annual Notre Dame Golf Classic, which raised over $46,000 for the school’s tuition assistance fund. Additionally, the dealership served as the primary sponsor for the 2014 Golf Outing for Ryan’s Quest, which featured an appearance by former New York Giants Jessie Armstead and Antonio Pierce. The annual golf event raised funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research.
