MORIAH Cooperative Inc. Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status

 
PHOENIX - July 30, 2014 - PRLog -- MORIAH Cooperative Inc. (http://www.moriahus.org) is proud to announce it is now an approved and recognized public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions made on behalf of MORIAH Cooperative Inc. are fully tax-deductible, retroactive to the founding of the organization on May 23, 2014. MORIAH™ is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to introduce under-served youth to communication and socialization programs.

“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major milestone for MORIAH Cooperative Inc.,” remarked Executive Director and Co-founder Brett Bernstein. “This opens many doors for us to achieve our objectives as a charitable organization helping children reach their full potential.”

Founded on the principle that every child deserves opportunities to maximize their individual potential, MORIAH™ to collaborate with families, community partners, and professional service providers to comply with this social contract. In order to accomplish our mission in providing life-enhancing resources and services, MORIAH™ leverages backing and guidance from kind-hearted volunteers and staff who demonstrate a passion for giving.

MORIAH™ is an acronym that stands for “Motivate and Orchestrate Respectful Interpersonal Achievement and Harmony.” This concept translates into organizational goals that support an underserved community of children experiencing social and interpersonal peculiarities. The organization plans to incorporate various individualized services targeting children and their families including, but not limited to, socialization groups and camps, system-level navigational support, and interventions. These evidence-based programs are intended to fill gaps that exist within the fabric of services available to the special needs community.
