Hall & Foreman, Inc. Promotes Deering Volkmann-Viola, P.E., LEED AP, to Project Director

 
LOS ANGELES - July 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Hall & Foreman, Inc. (HFI), a civil engineering, land planning and surveying firm, announced the promotion of Deering Volkmann-Viola, P.E., LEED AP, to Project Director.  In the role of Project Director, Ms. Volkmann-Viola is responsible for providing project oversight and team leadership, including project scheduling and budgeting, quality control, staff utilization, and guidance to project team members.

Mark Miner, LEED AP, HFI’s President / Principal and Director of Development Practice Services noted, “Deering continues to be a key player in HFI’s infill sector projects.  In addition to providing strong client coordination and project management skills, Deering also serves as a mentor, coaching the professional development of staff members. We look forward to her continued contributions to the strength of the firm in her new role as project director.”

Ms. Volkmann-Viola joined HFI in 2003 as a staff engineer. She advanced to project engineer and then project manager, and was appointed an associate of the firm in 2011. While at HFI, she became a licensed professional engineer, earned the LEED New Construction accreditation and became a Qualified SWPPP Developer/Preparer. Ms. Volkmann-Viola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Northridge.  She specializes in infill projects in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.  She has a great rapport with clients and is known for her strong project communication skills.  Ms. Volkmann-Viola is a member of the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles, where she serves on the Program Committee.
