The Deck of Manly Arts is a playing card deck that was created to celebrate all things manly, from your thick facial hair to the fantastic drinks that put extra hair on your chest.

Some of my favorite memories from growing up were going camping and fishing with my grandpa and how he fascinated me with his traditional hobbies and skills. I remember sitting around our fire and listening to his stories,  with his special mixed drink in hand, of how he'd fished the same spots for 40 years. Waking up early still reminds me of getting up at 4am to head out on the lake and seeing him shaving using the sharpest blade I had ever seen. He piqued my interest further by explaining the special technique needed to use it. To this day I have been fascinated with antique and traditional products and the history behind how they were used. My project draws from the experiences I shared with my grandpa and expands them into this noble deck of cards.
