By: Baqee Organization http://www.baqee.org American Muslims Protest the Destruction of Heritage Sites & Demand Rebuilding WASHINGTON DC — Tyrannical nations fuel terrorism, hatred, and human rights violations. One such nation is Saudi Arabia which is directly responsible for the violation of numerous human rights and financial support to the ongoing cancer called terrorism on this planet. American Muslims are standing up to Saudi Arabia by holding a Protest on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at 2:00 pm in front of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington D.C. August 5th marks the anniversary, 8th Shawwal according to Islamic Hijrah calendar, of the demolition of the shrines in Baqee, a cemetery in Medina, Saudi Arabia where Prophet Mohammed’s children, wives, companions and other relatives are buried. Since the destruction of Baqee in 1925, the cemetery has become a symbol of atrocities and brutality committed by Saudi Arabia. These atrocities are a direct result of the Wahabi sect, followed in Saudi Arabia, which has no room for tolerance or peace anywhere on the planet. Wahabi dogma has steered Saudi Arabia in an alliance with the terrorists. We, American Muslims demand the Saudi government to cease its support to terrorist organizations (ISIS/ISIL, Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Al-Nusra, Lashker-e-Taiba, Lashker-e-Jahangvi, Sipah-e-Sahaba, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab and all its offshoots). Cultures, civilization and religions are proud of its heritage sites. Humanity does its utmost to preserve them not destroy them. Islamic heritage sites dictate on how a Muslims perform the Hajj rituals. These sites are an integral part of Islam and are required for a Muslims’ spirituality. The ISIS/ISIL, staunch followers of Saudi-backed Wahabi ideology, has recently destroyed Jonah’s tomb and a 1,800 year old church in Mosul, Iraq. Saudi Arabia claims to be the custodians of the holy sites in Mecca and Medina but in all actuality are nothing but demolishers of these revered heritage sites of all faiths. Visitors of these sites such as Baqee have been harassed and persecuted. The Al-Baqee Organization is urging Saudi Arabia to cease and desist from further destruction of the holy sites, restore the ones they have callously demolished and stop violating a Muslims’ rights to worship. Furthermore, we demand Saudi Arabia register sites like Baqee with UNESCO. The Al-Baqee Organization is urging our, American, government to release a formal condemnation against the oppressive activities happening within Saudi Arabia and its funding of terrorist activities throughout the world. As a strong ally of the United States, Saudi Arabia should be held accountable to values of tolerance and respect for its citizens and visitors. Muslims from across the United States will stand in solidarity with the embattled citizens of Saudi Arabia on August 5th. We, the Al-Baqee Organization, extend an invitation to all people of conscience to protest overt and/or covert forms of terrorism. The Protest will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 2pm-5pm at the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia located at 601 New Hampshire Ave, NW Washington, DC 20037. ABOUT: Al-Baqee Organization is a coalition of American-Muslim citizens committed to raise awareness of Islamic heritage sites that has been destructed or on the verge of being destroyed. The website of the organization is www.baqee.org. -END- End
