Hairstylist Recognised as Rising Star
A hair stylist from Glasgow is celebrating after making the final cut in a prestigious industry competition.
GLASGOW, Scotland - July 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Toni Carrigan, from Regis Salons in St Enoch Shopping Centre, Glasgow, has won a place at the UK and Ireland final of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Awards 2014 after being shortlisted in the Young Talent category for her Urban Native trend style using pastel, mint, lilac, pink tones.
After wowing a top panel of judges at the Northern regional final on 14th May, including Nicky Clarke, Toni will now go on to compete in the all-important UK and Ireland final on Monday 6 October.
Toni, 28, said: “I’m so proud to have reached the national final of such a renowned competition in the industry, especially as I know the standard is always very high.
“I’ve always had a huge passion for hair and how a certain style or colour can help to transform your look. I’m very excited to take part and compete against some of the best hairdressers in the country.”
The Wella Professionals Trend Vision Awards were created to discover and acknowledge the industry’s most skilled hair stylists and colourists. The competition focuses on all aspects of hair styling and colouring and is widely regarded as the hairdressing industry’s biggest and most inspirational events.
The Trend Vision Awards UK and Ireland final will take place in London on 6th October.
