Local Etiquette Class Has Children Minding Manners and Having Fun

Shannon Etiquette Consulting’s classes are for children and have fun themes which includes games, role-playing, eating, modeling for the girls and many more activities a child would enjoy. Many parents sign their children up for etiquette classes to help reinforce what they are trying to teach them about manners at home.  Michelle Shannon teaches children the importance of good manners. Today, most children seem to spend most of their time watching television, playing video games or spending time on the computer.  Children seem to be losing out on basic face-to-face interaction and plain old social interaction with their peers. Her students learn how to properly utilize their utensils, their napkins, and handle eating difficult foods with ease. The children have fun playing the "pass the hot plate" game that is usually played during the lesson.

In most situations children are so eager or quick to take action. Shannon advises parents that proper manners will help children stop and think about the situation and how it should be handled instead of doing the first thing that comes to mind. Etiquette classes for children help teach children proper manners during their formative years providing them with the skills, tools, and a knowledge of proper manners.  Providing a child with a knowledge of proper manners will help to acquire outstanding social skills throughout their lives as they get older.
