Snell & Wilmer Adds Trost and Jaech to Intellectual Property Group in Los Angeles

Jaech's practice includes intellectual property counseling, due diligence, licensing and transactions, patent prosecution including appeals and reissue, and reexaminations (ex parte or inter partes). His technical experience extends to a variety of areas, including mechanical, electrical and electromechanical devices, methods and manufacturing processes, computer-implemented technology, telecommunications and networking, micro-electronics and nanotechnology, medical devices, chemical compositions and materials, entertainment and gaming methods, computer graphics and image processing, and business methods. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Trost is a first-chair trial and appellate lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes disputes involving claims of patent infringement, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret violations and rights to publicity. A former electronics and software engineer, he represents clients in a variety of industries, including semiconductors, optics, electronics, computers, software, toys, furniture and sporting goods. He has been recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers® in the area of intellectual property law. He earned his J.D. cum laude from Southwestern Law School.
Jaech and Trost will join Langton, who was the managing partner of Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP’s Los Angeles office prior to joining Snell & Wilmer on July 1st. Langton now co-chairs Snell & Wilmer’s California intellectual property practice group and chairs the Los Angeles intellectual property group. Langton’s extensive practice spans over 20 years and emphasizes domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution, strategic patent and trademark portfolio creation, maintenance, enforcement, licensing and counseling.
