Free Fraud Prevention Workshops to Be Presented by Metro CSG and PNC Bank

NEW YORK - July 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Last year, close to half of all adults on the Internet were victims of online fraud, averaging financial losses of $4,187 per person.  In response to this staggering figure, Metro CSG(Computer Service Group) is partnering with PNC Bank to present free workshops on cybercrime prevention across the tri-state area.

Led by experts from both Metro CSG and PNC, the workshops will detail the steps that can be taken to maintain an organization’s network security, and how to spot fraud when it occurs. For those who have been victimized in the past, the hosts will also demonstrate the recovery process for data theft.

More often than not, the targets of online fraud are customers that have stored credit card and other personal information with a breached company. As such, business owners today owe it to their customers to do everything in their power to protect themselves from hackers. As more and more data moves online, a secure network is quickly becoming the best defense businesses have against cyber threat.

The first event in this series is to be held on August 19^th at Microsoft’s New York City office based in Times Square. Both hosts will be offering attendees an opportunity to network with other business owners and win prizes.
