WASHINGTON - July 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The 6th Annual Corporate Wellness Conference is pleased to announce Cara McNulty, Senior Group Clinical Strategy, Prevention & Wellness, Target as a speaker at the September 20-24, 2014 event in D.C this year.

Cara McNulty is the Senior Group Manager of Clinical Strategy, Prevention and Wellness initiatives for Target Corporation.  In this role, she leads efforts to implement Targets’ health agenda and develop strategies that improve all Target team members’ health while decreasing health care expenditure.  Her responsibilities support a population health approach to improving health, decreasing disease burden, and building stronger systems and environments to promote team member’s best health.

Most recently, she was the Director for the Office of Statewide Health Improvement for the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the Statewide Health Improvement Program, a major pillar of the 2008 state health reform legislation.

Ms. McNulty has received a Doctorate in Public Administration from Hamline University, her M.S. in Applied Health Science from Indiana University, and a B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Ms. McNulty is a member of the Minnesota Community Measurement, Park Nicollet Foundation and Midwest Business Group on Health Boards. She is also nationally published in the areas of coordinated school health implementation, health care services, and population health management.

Cara will also be presenting with Tom Boehr, Amanda Senecal, Dr. Dee Edington and Victor Villanueva on the topic “Engaging the Generations: A Discussion on Health Triggers & Barriers”. This session will take a look at Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers and Traditionalists and explore their unique characteristics. What turns them on and what turns them off.  Understand how to leverage triggers and overcome barriers to connect with each generation.  This session will identify health and wellness program design, incentives and communications that resonate with each generation.
