Harrod UK Ltd to make history at Glasgow 2014

July 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The biggest cultural and sporting event ever to be held in Scotland, the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, was officially declared open on Wednesday 23^rd July.

The 20th Commonwealth Games, (Glasgow 2014) is featuring 17 sports across 14 different venues, all providing unique opportunities for UK Manufacturers to supply a home based world class event with equipment manufactured in Britain.

Harrod UK are delighted to supply 17m tall rugby posts to the world famous Ibrox stadium for the rugby 7’s tournament.

The Lowestoft based manufacturing company will be making history at Ibrox, as it will be the first time that rugby has ever been played at the predominantly football stadium in its 127 years existence.

Harrod UK are also pleased to supply the Hockey field of play equipment, to the Glasgow Green National Hockey Centre and 2 sets of bespoke freestanding netball posts for both training venues.

The centre is based in the city’s oldest public park and has undergone major re-development in the run up to the games providing a legacy for the future.
