Chester Tweets and This Lady Loves join forces for latest tweetup
THE latest Chester tweetup, to be held on Tuesday 29th July, will be a joint affair between Chester Tweets and This Lady Loves.
The event is the latest in a series of tweetups held in the city and offers businesses a chance to meet their virtual network in person, rather than just over social media. Restaurant 1539’s roof terrace will be the venue for the meeting, with proceedings getting underway at 7pm. #Chesterhour – the popular Twitter-based business promotional networking hour – will take place as usual between 8 and 9pm. There will be drinks on offer, and participants can sample food from a set menu designed especially for the occasion.
“Our #Chesterhour is always popular, especially the live tweetups,” said Steve Jones, Owner of Chester Tweets.
“It gives business owners and anyone who takes part regularly to come and meet up with people they’ve not actually met properly and only normally say hello through Twitter. What’s great about #Chesterhour is that it’s a relaxed, informal event where real business is done. And the tweetups carry on with that outlook when we get together in the flesh.”
Chester Tweets was set up by Steve, who also owns Steve Jones Social Media, to encourage local businesses and consumers in Chester to talk to each other more. The idea of a dedicated #Chesterhour came about when he realised there was an opportunity to bring them all together at the same time to network and promote their businesses. It is now one of the biggest events on Twitter, and the tweetups have become a regular occurrence.
“I have known Tracey for many years, and love what she does with This Lady Loves. She’s great at connecting businesses, so when Tracey suggested co-hosting a Chester tweetup I jumped at the chance,” continued Steve.
