NetPay Announces its Green Payments Programme

EASTLEIGH, U.K. - July 24, 2014 - PRLog -- NetPay has today announced its Green Payments Programme as they invest in the Woodland Trust’s Woodland Carbon project.

This is part of NetPay’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and their ongoing commitment to excellence in all aspects of their business, including their dedication to continually improve and reduce the environmental impact of the services they provide.

NetPay’s key aim is to achieve ISO140001 standard in both our UK and Ireland offices during 2015. NetPay will also be the first payment processor in the UK and Ireland to offer ‘green payments’ and mitigate the carbon emissions of their payments network.

Carl Churchill, Managing Director of NetPay said “The Woodland Trust's Woodland Carbon project, offers a unique opportunity for us to invest in local carbon projects. NetPay are helping to create new spaces for wildlife and make the UK landscape more resilient to climate change impacts. We have worked with the Woodland Trust to create 1250m² of new native woodland. In time this will absorb at least 50 tonnes of carbon dioxide, helping with our strategy to reduce our business carbon footprint”

The Woodland Carbon project was created to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by locking up carbon emissions through planting trees in the UK to help support our natural eco system, and establish new woodlands for generations of people to enjoy now and in the future.

Churchill continues “Our participation in the Woodland Trust’s Woodland Carbon Project is only a small part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and corporate social responsibility. We have put in place a variety of measures to ensure that our procurement and processes are environmentally sustainable and aim to be ISO14001 compliant by the end of 2015.”

NetPay’s participation in the Woodland Carbon project means that NetPay’s merchants can meet their own Corporate Social Responsibility targets and ensure that they are procuring services from sustainable suppliers.
