ST. LOUIS - July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- ST. CHARLES, MO The nonprofit, Connections to Success is proud to award a red Chevy Venture to Earnest B. on Friday, July 25 at 2 p.m. at 3000 Little Hills Expressway, Ste. 102 (63301). The public is invited to attend the ceremony. Earnest has 2 elementary school aged daughters, resides in St. Charles City but works in Wentzville. Earnest takes the Connections to Success van on a 20+ mile commute to work each day. To empower Earnest to have access to long-term transportation to get to and from work, he has been chosen to receive a Car Award. Criteria for his selection include: 2-years of involvement with Connections to Success, being employed full-time in the restaurant industry, and for his goal of obtaining his GED in the near future.

According to Earnest “Getting a car means everything, without the car I can’t get work on the weekends and I can’t get to the court dates to get my [8 year-old] daughter back. “

Through Connections to Success’ Wheels for Success program used vehicles are awarded to deserving families to fill the gap of limited public transportation.

In a given year, the organization awards vehicles to 20-30 families. In addition to being a resource for donating your cars, trucks, and vans, Connections to Success is seeking two shuttle buses or two 15-passenger vans to aid in the transportation of participants in the Greater St. Louis area.
