11Giraffes Announces NEC OPS Digital Signage Media Players Support

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- 11Giraffes announced today a partnership with NEC Display Solutions, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, to offer the 11Giraffes digital signage platform on NEC’s Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) family of devices.  The OPS media players may be inserted directly into any compatible NEC display, creating a cable-free and fully turnkey digital signage solution.

By supporting NEC’s OPS platform, 11Giraffes is able to deploy interchangeable systems faster and at a reduced cost, as compared to separate display and media player hardware. Installing digital signage equipment based on OPS architecture helps implement scalable digital signage applications with the flexibility to meet the requirements of individual customers.  NEC’s OPS offering also aids 11Giraffes’ clients in future-proofing technology investments.

11Giraffes’ media player software is certified for use on the NEC OPS-DRD, OPS-PCIC and OPS-PCIA devices.  In doing so, the companies offer solutions for OPS Android devices, as well as Linux and Windows OPS PC hardware.
