Free local football camp provides opportunity for young professionals to engage NWA community

July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- ROGERS, Ark. – The Crafton Tull Young Professionals group, working in concert with John Brown University, Word of Life Church and New Life Graphics are currently hosting a free, no-contact football camp in Siloam Springs for children between the ages of 8-12. The “Just Kickin’ It Youth Camp” is being held Monday, July 21^st – Friday, July 25^th at the Word of Life Church in Siloam Springs from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. There are no signup deadlines, so spots are still open.

“The idea came about when discussing the importance of getting kids moving and active, especially in preparation for the upcoming school year,” said Ronald Watkins, a founding member of the young professionals group and Engineering Intern at Crafton Tull. Watkins went on to say “I remember how much I looked forward to camp as a way to improve my game, but also interact with kids my age in an organized and safe environment.” Crafton Tull is an architecture, engineering and surveying firm that has been serving the state since 1963.

The camp kicked off Monday night and hopes to gain even more participants throughout the week.

Activities will include coach taught authentic football drills, a flag scrimmage game and a pool party for participants and volunteers at the JBU swimming pool on Thursday night.
