ABIH’s LinkedIn Group Celebrates 500 Members & Growing

LANSING, Mich. - July 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Earlier this month, the American Board of Industrial Hygiene’s LinkedIn group reached a new milestone with its 500^th member.  The LinkedIn group, launched in late 2012, has been growing at a steady rate as more Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs) and the greater industrial hygiene community turn to social media for news and information.

Social media has become a rapid way of disseminating information and sharing ideas with various LinkedIn groups sponsored by ACGIH, AIHA, ABIH and other associations in the industry.  ABIH uses their LinkedIn group to post updates about the Certified Industrial Hygienist program, and for sharing information, ideas and opportunities with industrial hygiene and environmental, health and safety professionals from across the globe.  For those who have joined ABIH’s LinkedIn group, they now have the ability to share information and ask questions to over 500 of the industrial hygiene industry’s top minds.

“As the ABIH LinkedIn group continues to grow, we invite all CIHs and others in the profession to join the discussion,” said Tracy Parsons, CIH, Administrative Program Manager at ABIH.  “Social media tools have been a great way for us to share what is new at ABIH while allowing members of our social media channels to network, ask questions and even post and respond to job opportunities in the industrial hygiene profession.  In addition to LinkedIn, ABIH has also been utilizing Twitter and Facebook to share information and updates.”
