Squint/opera and IWM London's new First World War galleries

July 21, 2014 - PRLog -- As part of the calendar of events marking the centenary of the First World War, we have created a series of digital installations at IWM London’s (part of the Imperial War Museums) new dedicated First World War Galleries. This builds on our other recent museum work including the hugely successful Hollywood Costume and Glamour of Italian Fashion shows at the Victoria & Albert Museum. At the IWM London we have been able to boost the interactive elements so that they also respond to choices, tailoring people’s visit to their interests.

Plunging visitors into a highly immersive experience, our work spans from evoking trench warfare and recruitment campaigns to making spaces for people to reflect on and contemplate the morals and ethics of war. The new galleries focus on telling the stories of the war through the lives of those who experienced it on the front line and on the home front. Contributing to eight major exhibits, our work has involved working closely with the museum’s experts and includes touchscreen-controlled interactive projections, screens and films.
