Amanda McCarthy a young up and coming artist states "I always in my heart knew I had something in me, a way to get things out, at 13 years old I started writing songs, before I was 14 I knew who Eliot Lewis was, I was at the stage where I really wanted to play an instrument, but couldn't pick one, I started with the Guitar, now play 4 all like Eliot self taught.  It is people like myself who look up to Eliot Lewis and his accomplishments, for me my writing was survival, my song Sticks and Stones which is about Bullying is featured in the film Bullied To Silence, I remember seeing Eliot Lewis on LFDH one night and it hit me then, he is self contained and what that meant, it is more than lugging equipment, performing, getting a paycheck, it is a business, and that is part of what is so inspiring to me about Eliot besides his outstanding talent, what is even cooler is that a lot of people know who Eliot is because of his personal accomplishments, plus his music is fun, upbeat and enjoyable to many."
