Sophomore EP released by Singapore Indie Band, wyd:syd

July 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Singapore's up-and-coming indie ambient rock band, wyd:syd had released their second EP, Reverie, on the 25th of June 2014 following the success of their first EP, Oval East (available for free at wydsyd.bandcamp.com).

Tracks include the well-received Stay Close, Red Soul; Yesterlove, and instrumental Endlessly.

wyd:syd began as a project between friends Marcus Tan (vocals), Eugene Huang (guitars) and Jared Oh (drums) in early 2012. The band’s current line-up was completed when Aaron Pereira (bass) and Ridhwan Malik (guitars) joined soon after. With each member’s distinctive musical influences and contributions, the band explores and blends musical elements from ambient, indie and conventional rock music in hopes of creating an enjoyable and unique soundscape.

After winning the inaugural SIM-UOL Music Fest 2012 (Continuum), wyd:syd took part in the Noise Singapore The Music Mentorship (TMM) programme in 2013, with Eddino Hadi as the band's assigned mentor.

In 2014, wyd:syd has performed at most of the major music festivals and events in Singapore, including Baybeats 2014, Ignite Music Festival 2014, Tones 2014, and the international Music Matters Live 2014.
