Wood Palace Kitchens celebrates 35 years in business

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. - July 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Wood Palace Kitchens, a premier cabinetry distributor representing select manufacturers and providing turn-key services for customers is now celebrating its 35^th anniversary, three and a half decades that have been highlighted by outstanding growth, according to CEO Tim Holick.

“What started as a home-based business with one employee – me – has over the years become a fully staffed company with clients from throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and beyond,” said Holick.

Throughout the last 35 years, Wood Palace Kitchens has broadened its base from a manufacturing concern to a distributor, all the while staying true to its original focus on providing fine and affordable cabinetry.

“Our original concentration was on cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms, but today’s client is also interested in cabinetry throughout the home,” said Holick.  “We have transitioned our focus over time in what has been a successful effort to maintain and exceed our customer’s wants and needs.”

Wood Palace Kitchens was founded in 1979 by Tim Holick, a former woodworking student and teacher, who began the business as a home-based operation that built customized cabinets for the local market. Over a number of years, he has transitioned Wood Palace Kitchens from a manufacturing concern to one that is a distributor, representing select manufacturers and providing turn-key services for customers, including design, installation and maintenance. Wood Palace Kitchens today has seven full-time employees, and a 5,000 square foot showroom in Middleboro. In 2009 Wood Palace Kitchens acquired a second company, Cornerstone Granite and Marble, originally located in Raynham, MA, adding granite countertops to its menu of services and products.  CEO Tim Holick plans to open additional showrooms for both cabinets and granite in the region over the next several years and plans the launch of a new cabinet division as well. The company has a consistent, ongoing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, providing a portion of each sale to that foundation.
