MINNEAPOLIS - July 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation welcomes CEO Scott Petinga, cancer survivor, marketing and big data expert, to join the roster of one of eight board of director members for the organization.  The cancer foundation announced the addition last week, marking the beginning of the new partnership.

“I am absolutely elated and greatly honored to have Scott Petinga join our board of directors for Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. We are looking forward to joining forces and continue promoting the importance of awareness and early detection, as well as supporting those affected by this disease,” said Kim Jones, CEO and Founder of the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Jones established the foundation after her son Jordan Jones was diagnosed with stage-4 (medical reference 3c) of an aggressive form of testicular cancer in 2007.  The family’s lack of education and support for the disease prompted Jones to create the organization. The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted by testicular cancer, and educating others about the importance of awareness and early detection, all in an effort to continue to save lives.

In 2004, Petinga was diagnosed with cancer. “Cancer has certainly changed me. I look different, feel different and act different. Some of it is easily explainable; other aspects of it are not. One thing is for sure - I live every day as if it were my last because forever etched in my mind is how quickly everything could have ended.” said Petinga.  “Joining the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is truly an honor. Their impact in such a short time has been monumental and I look forward to working more closely with Kim and her amazing team.”

Petinga’s role as board member for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation begins immediately and will allow him to continue his service to those affected by cancer.  Petinga will bring his marketing prowess that has allowed him to help his Fortune 1000 clients significantly increase their revenue.
