Eddie James was More Then Just a Concert

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - July 18, 2014 - PRLog -- As soon as I walked into the sanctuary I felt a change in atmosphere. The preparation was already taking place. As people began to fill the seats some
of the Eddie James staff started the night with prayer and the crowd began to worship with them, ushering in the presence of the Lord. The night was full of energy and people began to make their way toward the front as worship progressed. Interpretive dances were performed with such emotion that gripped the heart. The crowd was on their feet clapping, dancing and singing praises as the Eddie James team led us in worship with such talented voices and anointed musicians.

About halfway into the evening, a young man from Lincolnton NC (http://www.ci.lincolnton.nc.us/) spoke in front of the crowd pouring his heart out, sharing his testimony of how God had destined his moment of redemption a few short years ago in the very place he was stood at that moment. Another young man from King’s Mountain NC recalled his continuing battle of drugs, fornication and jail that had landed him at rock bottom. These are among the many young people that the Eddie James Ministry has reached out to and helped turn their life around.

I specifically mention these two young men because their story is local.

It’s not just a concert. This man was called by God to reach out to those young people that most had given up on and show them the love of Jesus. A higher hope; a life with purpose.  They grow to be a close knit family and through music and dance, give praise to God as they worship Him with all that they have because, for some, He is all that they have.

Near the end of the night an altar call was made and people of all ages answered that call. Hands were raised in complete surrender, hearts were open, people began to pray for each other and God began to move in a mighty way. I have no doubt that someone’s life was changed that night. The night was predestined for that moment. The praise, the worship, the testimonies shared, all of the preparation, the very purpose and calling on Eddie James and his ministry…it was all for that moment, for God’s glory.
