Big Move in the Big Apple: Private lender announces Blue Moon Hotel Loan
Century Capital Partners, LLC, provided a $7 million loan for the Blue Moon Hotel, a stately, eight-story boutique hotel in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
“Manhattan is a marketplace in which we have always shown great interest,” said David Hecht, President of Century Capital Partners, which specializes in short-term, asset-based loans. “The Blue Moon Hotel is located in one of the city’s trendiest and most desirable areas. It’s a very distinctive and stately hotel with a superlative standing.”
The hotel, 100 Orchard St. in East Village, is an art-preservation project. It is a 19th-century former tenement building with 22 guest rooms and suites, ranging from 320 to 750 square feet offering private balconies and stunning city views.
The hotel’s ground floor is an expansive lobby, large enough to hold a restaurant and bar for guests and passersby.
Part of Century Capital’s loan will be used for minor renovations and interior design updates to marry the hotel’s history with modern standards.
In addition to the Blue Moon loan, Century Capital has been a partner in real-estate deals domestically and worldwide.
