Follow on Google News | DEUS Rescue Introduces New Line of Rescue Harnesses, DEUS X Class, Designed for Safety & VersatilityHarnesses Easily Convert from Waist Belt to Full-Body Version to Support Any Emergency Rescue Scenario
By: DEUS Rescue Developed to work with all major escape systems, DEUS X Class harnesses include a convertible waistbelt (NFPA Class I) and seat harness (NFPA Class II), and a chest piece add-on to provide a full body harness (NFPA Class III). The entire line is engineered to be more comfortable, versatile and practical as compared to traditional rescue harnesses. The innovative design allows unprecedented mobility for the user, rugged durability required by firefighters and other emergency personnel, and features six rated, easily accessible attachment points. To provide maximum comfort, the harnesses are ergonomically designed to distribute forces to the user’s legs, versus the waist, back or shoulders. All are third-party tested and certified to meet NFPA 1983 (2012 ED) requirements for Life Safety Harnesses. An optional tactical vest, which integrates with the X Class harness to provide a unified rescue vest-harness ensemble, will also be available. The tactical vest is constructed in the modular MOLLE webbing style and features a built-in hydration system. “Our new DEUS X Class harnesses are a true game changer,” said Shain Rae, chief executive officer, DEUS Rescue. “The DEUS X Class sets the bar for what a rescue harness should be. DEUS has been producing the most advanced firefighter escape system on the market for the past seven years and we’ve consistently seen the need for the next generation of escape harness. Working with firefighters, we designed and developed this product from the ground up. We truly believe this line of harnesses offers unmatched innovation, with a full range of features that will make the DEUS X Class the new standard for rescue harnesses.” “I’ve served in military special operations and have spent my entire public safety career in technical rescue and tactical operations,” The DEUS X Class harnesses feature: · • A simple belt harness (NFPA Class I) from which hide-away leg loops can be deployed to convert in seconds to a seat harness (NFPA Class II). A full body rescue harness (NFPA Class III) can be created with the available chest harness add-on. · • Six rated attachment points that can be used individually or in combination, for flexibility in rigging for escape and rescue. · • An expandable belt design accommodating 27” to 56” waist sizes to allow different individual users to share the same harness. · • Unique safety-optimized stitching design that supports load-bearing from any direction to enhance safety and maximize usable life. · • Industry-leading Cobra quick-release buckles with integrated D rings from AustriAlpin, which provide superior load-bearing safety combined with simple coupling and decoupling. · • Compatibility for use with all escape systems on the market, including the DEUS Firefighter Bailout and Rescue kit. Availability The first DEUS X Class harnesses will be available in September 2014, with additional X Class products to be introduced in the coming months.
