Gruveo brings its easy, anonymous video calls to Android
Popular video calling platform Gruveo expands to Android devices, switches to WebRTC technology for enhanced call quality
Gruveo 2.0 works in Chrome, Firefox and Opera on desktop and Android and allows any two parties to establish a video call just by agreeing on a code. The website features a modern, responsive HTML5 design geared for mobile devices and desktops alike.
The new version switches to the new WebRTC standard for real-time browser communication. WebRTC enables encrypted, peer-to-peer video and voice calling directly from the browser and offers excellent call quality.
The Gruveo iOS app to compliment the existing Android and desktop offering is expected to arrive in late summer 2014.
"Making Gruveo calls on mobile has been our users’ top request since launch," said Art Matsak, ASM Systems CEO. "We are taking the first step today by bringing our world’s easiest video calls to Android."
Gruveo is a free online video calling platform by Bratislava, Slovakia-based ASM Systems Ltd. Its mission is to make video calling as easy as never before by allowing any two parties to establish a call just by agreeing on a numeric code. For more information, please visit https://www.gruveo.com.
