MANCHESTER, N.H. - July 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Empower 2 Play, (E2P), is pleased to announce that they will be holding their second International Sports Camp with a goal to host 200 under-resourced children in the Philippines from August 9th -10th, 2014 at Marcos Field in Quezon City.

With so many children in need around the globe, Empower 2 Play focuses on providing an experience that inspires children through learning new life skills, so they can inspire their families and communities with the new skills they’ve learned during the camp.

Empower 2 Play was founded in 2013 with their first camp launch held last year in partnership with Philippines Magazine International hosting 75 children in Quezon City, Philippines by AK Ikwuakor (“Coach AK”), an All-American track and field athlete and Olympic hopeful. Coach AK also holds certifications in as a sports performance specialist, NCAA recruiting coach and is also the Associate Dean of Students at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. It is Ikwuakor's goal to host 200 children this year at the camp in August and with the help of the local businesses, families and with support from donations, and the Empower 2 Play team, they will achieve that goal.

“We have been blessed with the local support we are getting in the Philippines,” said E2P founder, AK Ikwaukor, “however, with the competition to fundraise, it is challenging for an organization like ours to get fully funded for events we hold.”

Local sponsors and volunteers have been working to support Empower 2 Play for a second year but there are still items that need to be donated or purchased which is why E2P is currently accepting donations to cover these items. Organizations who wish to help support this worthy cause are encouraged to contact Empower 2 Play via their website at http://www.empower2play.org or email them at info@empower2play.org. Individuals may also donate via their campaign on Fundraise.com at https://www.fundraise.com/camp-ak-philippines-the-philippines-magazine-2nd-annual-empower-to-play-youth-football-camp/camp-ak-philippines.
