LANHAM, Md. - July 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Seniors at the Residence on Greenbelt will be talking about a revolution. The French Revolution, that is.

A Bastille Day program will be held on July 15 at the senior living community in Lanham. The approximately hour-long event will be part of a Connectivity program in which senior living and memory care residents each will participate.

“The program will be part history lesson, part social hour and a lot of fun,” said Diane Bissell, Activities Director at Residence on Greenbelt. “The room will be decorated with a French flag. There will be a discussion with handouts, photos and other information about France and Bastille Day. We’ll also be serving éclairs as a special treat.”

Bastille Day is a French national holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789. The event marked the beginning of the French Revolution.

Residence on Greenbelt has both senior living and memory care communities. It is part of the Wexford, Pa.-based IntegraCare Corporation, which operates 11 senior communities in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
