U.S. Podiatrist Makes Impression at the FIMS Meeting with Breakthrough HyProCure® Solution

Extra-Osseous Talotarsal Stabilization (EOTTS) with HyProCure® assists in prevention and treatment of lower extremity chronic over-use injuries
MACOMB, Mich. - July 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Dr. Michael E. Graham, podiatric surgeon and founder/president of GraMedica, made history at the XXXIII FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine Meeting organized by The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) on June 19th as the first podiatrist to ever address the prestigious conference in Quebec City, Canada.

Dr. Graham presented HyProCure® and the EOTTS procedure to a fully-attended room of approximately 100 distinguished sports medicine doctors from all over the world. His dynamic presentation demonstrated how use of the HyProCure® titanium stent is one of the most effective advances in treatment and prevention of chronic, over-use injuries to the lower extremities.

Physicians were intrigued by the extensive research behind HyProCure® as well as the simplicity that makes it be a life-long solution. “This is great for the sports medicine world. I can’t wait to share this with my professors and fellow doctors,” says Isabel Costa, a medical school resident from Brazil.

Dr. Graham designed HyProCure® to be inserted into a naturally occurring space between the ankle and heel bones in order to realign and stabilize the hind foot. Estimates indicate 20 – 40% of the world’s population is affected by issues related to hind foot instability and are at substantial risk of developing an overuse injury of the lower extremities. Conservatively, half could be treated with HyProCures minimally invasive EOTTS procedure by itself or in combination with other simple procedures.
