Moog Protokraft Releases Stiletto Series 10Gbps Optical Transceivers

DUSSELDORF, Germany - July 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Moog Protokraft, a division of Moog Components Group has announced the availability of it’s pluggable 10GB serial Stiletto Series optical fiber transceivers. Stiletto series optical fiber transceivers offer significant size, space and weight savings compared to traditional SFP+ transceivers and cages. In addition, due to their unique vertical plugging features, locking mechanism by nuts and operating temperature range of   -40°C to +85°C, they are perfectly suited for any harsh environment application.

Stiletto series optical fiber transceivers support the 2-wire serial communication protocol as defined in SFF-8472, offering end user access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, and received optical power and transceiver supply voltage. It also defines alarm and warning flags, to alert end users when particular operating parameters are outside of a factory defined normal range.
