BEDMINSTER, N.J. - July 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Weeklong summer art camps are underway at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedmibnster, NJ. Children enjoy summer art enrichment and skill development led by professional teaching artists in air conditioned studios. Each week ends with an exhibit of student work.

Summer Art Camps for Ages 5-12
Weekly Summer Art Camps at The Center are designed to stimulate creative expression through theme-based art projects and activities that change each week. All sessions are led by professional teaching artists, tailored to a specific age group, and designed to deepen a child’s appreciation and understanding of the visual arts. Students engage in two-and three-dimensional creative exploration through painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and more.

Art Camp for Children with Special Needs Ages 9-14
As part of its commitment to offering all children access to creative experiences, The Center offers a one-week summer art camp for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs.

Week-long Ceramics Camps for Ages 6-Teen
The Center offers the area’s only week-long summer art camps in ceramics in a new state-of-the-art studio. Students develop wheel-throwing, hand-building and glazing skills.

Summer Programs for Teens
Week long teen summer “intensives” allow artists 13 years old and above at all levels of expertise to develop or fine tune skills through an in-depth half-day exploration of a single medium or genre; drawing, ceramics, graffiti, photography, animation, oil painting and fashion design. Teen evening classes are also offered, plus many adult classes appropriate for teens.
