It is a how-to book for novices and experts in the funeral industry and a complete exposition on the technique and art of embalming. Funeral directors and embalmers play an integral role in the treatment of your loved one’s at departure. Giving the latest and most successful methods of treatment, Pickens explores and educates by informing readers of descriptive embalming analyses and techniques. About the Author Christella Pickens is a Memphis native who currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. She is the mother of two adult children and a newlywed. She has been in the industry for more than 17 years and currently teaches Mortuary Science. Instrumental in developing apprentices out of mortuary school, she assists them with completing required embalming cases for licensure in Illinois. Being part of an elite group in the art of restoration, she is consistently called upon throughout Chicago to take care of such cases. She is a graduate of Malcolm X College Mortuary Science Program and holds an A.A.S. After being told that her career could not flourish by others in the field, she persevered and is skilled with working with special embalming cases.
