Plustek Announces New MobileOffice S601 Scanner

The Plustek MobileOffice S601 has approximately the same footprint as a smartphone and can scan a card in under five seconds.  It is ideal for scanning licenses, identification cards, business cards, receipts, as well as checks and deposit slips.  The Plustek MobileOffice S601 is designed to capture critical identification documents in healthcare, banking, hospitality, visitor access control and other applications where identification cards are frequently used.

The Plustek MobileOffice S601 includes two programmable one-touch scan buttons that allow users to create searchable PDFs or images of the card by simply pressing a button.  The Plustek MobileOffice S601 also features advanced image processing that allows users to scan identification cards/driver’s licenses and embossed plastic cards with no adjustments.  Images are automatically straightened, rotated and adjusted for exposure. The result is smaller file sizes and more accurate data extraction.

Industry standard TWAIN drivers simplify integration into most applications.  Plustek has APIs and deployment tools available to facilitate integration and easy installation.
