Hi-G dryer & Vertical-G dryer for Waste Management

July 9, 2014 - PRLog -- GN Solids Control have sold 3 sets Drilling Waste Management Compact Unit to overseas market. The compact Unit including Vertical-G dryer, decanter centrifuge, submersible slurry pump and one compact skid.

1) Vertical-G dryer as first phase separation in Drilling Waste Management compact unit.

Vertical-G dryer is developed by GN Solids Control in early of 2012. At early stage, the vertical-G dryer can only used for oil based mud & synthetic based mud. After some upgrade, the Vertical-G dryer can be used both for Water based mud, oil based mud & synthetic based mud.

Compared with each other, the OBM & SBM is easy to be deal with because the cuttings' slippy surface; however, the WBM is not easy to handle because the surface of WBM cuttings is more sticky.

Question, if Vertical-G dryer can be used universal for WBM, OBM & SBM, is Hi-G dryer/shaker also have marketing requirement ?

Answer: It is sure that there are still some customer who will buy the Hi-G dryer in replace of Vertical-G dryer. Hi-G dryer also can be used universal for WBM, OBM & SBM. There are two main difference between Hi-G dryer/Shaker and Vertical-G dryer.

Point 1: the Vertical-G dryer is more expensive than Hi-G dryer, also 3 times price.

Point 2: The treating result of vertical-G dryer is much better than Hi-G dryer if the operator is experinced in Vertical-G dryer usage. However, the Hi-G dryer can not reach that level of treatment.

2) Decanter Centrifuge as second phase separation in drilling waste management compact unit.

High Speed Decanter Centrifuge can separate the fine solids in liquid discharged from Vertical-G dryer, making the drilling fluid more purified. After the centrifuge, the purified drilling mud can go back to solids control mud tanks for reuse, or go to dewatering unit for further treatment.

GN Decanter Centrifuge is widely used in drilling mud solids control & driling waste management. Only this year, GN Solids Control have exported over 20 sets centrifuge to Africa waste management market & Middle East Waste management Market.
