The Trademark Company Wins TTAB Case For Clothing Company

VIENNA, Va. - July 8, 2014 - PRLog -- July 8, 2014

On July 7, 2014 the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”) sustained The Trademark Company’s Petition to Cancel in the matter of GoodGirl Tanks & Tees, LLC vs. Frederick M. Wyatt III, Cancellation No. 92058383.

On December 13, 2013 GoodGirl Tanks & Tees, LLC filed the cancellation proceeding seeking to cancel the registration of the trademark GOOD GIRLS registered by Mr. Wyatt.  GoodGirl Tanks & Tees, LLC. is the owner of a line of clothing sold under the trademark GOODGIRL TANKS & TEES.

Following the filing of the initial pleadings and on the strength thereof the defendant failed to answer the Petition to Cancel in the time required under the rules.  Thereafter, the TTAB ruled Ms. Wyatt to be in default which ultimately led to the TTAB sustaining GoodGirl Tanks & Tees, LLC’s Petition to Cancel and cancelling the registration for Mr. Wyatt’s trademark.
