NHTSA Awards Five-Star Rating to the 2015 Acura RDX
Available now at Chicagoland Acura Dealers, the NHTSA has granted their highest award, a Five Star Overall Safety Rating, to the new Acura crossover.
Acura has long led the pack when it came to automotive dependability, affordability, and safety, but the RDX has truly stepped up the game by making features like a rearview camera standard and offering one of the most reliable body structures to help prevent any injuries in the event of an accident. Add in the standard airbag package and it becomes pretty clear just why the NHTSA thinks highly of Acura's crossover.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has yet to weigh in, but considering that they named the 2014 model a Top Safety Pick, it is expected that a similar ranking will come for the 2015 model.
There's more to the RDX than its safety, though. With seating for up to five, this compact crossover has no trouble giving drivers one of the best fuel economies in its class—28 highway mpg—and going all out with standard features like a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth for phone and audio, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather ytnmn upholstery, and much more.
With upgradeable features like a satellite-linked navigation system with real-time weather and traffic updates, a 10-speaker ELS surround sound system, voice controls, a power liftgate, and more, it's no wonder that so many Chicagoans are choosing the RDX.
