CHATSWORTH, Calif. - July 7, 2014 - PRLog -- With the recent arrival of summer, warm conditions in many parts of the country have people closing their windows and turning on their air conditioners.  In many circumstances, closing doors and windows in a home or building can allow concentrations of indoor pollutants and allergens to rise. These allergens can cause issues for anyone who suffers from allergies.

For many allergy suffers, the onset of allergy symptoms often results in a visit to their family doctor for treatment options without also considering potential indoor allergens that could be causing their condition in the first place.  While there are many common allergens that can be found in the natural outdoor environment, there are also many that may be present indoors that can often be addressed.  Some of the more common indoor allergens include:

·         Mold

·         Bacteria

·         Pet Dander

·         Insects

·         Rodents

·         Dust Mites

·         Plants & Pollen

·         Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

·         Latex

“An allergic reaction to these and other allergens can occur in sensitive people if these substances are breathed, touched or ingested,” said Franco Seif, President of Clark Seif Clark.  “Some people may be allergic to more than one indoor allergen and repeated or long-term exposure to any of them may worsen the condition.  At CSC, our indoor environmental quality professionals have the tools and expertise to identify a wide range of indoor allergens and provide solutions to minimize their impact on allergy sufferers.”

CSC recently sponsored an online video to help educate people about indoor allergens. It can be seen at:
